Discovering the Road: Travel Time between Celina, TX and Mooresville, NC

Estimated driving time is about 20 hours, but we recommend taking a week or two to really enjoy the journey.
The Straight Shot
If you’re crunched for time, the shortest route between Celina and Mooresville is a straight shot up I-35 through Oklahoma City, Kansas City, St. Louis, and Indianapolis. It’s about 1,000 miles and takes just under 17 hours of driving time. This route can get a little monotonous, but there are plenty of great stops along the way. We suggest taking a break in St. Louis to explore the famous Gateway Arch and indulge in some delicious BBQ.
The Southern Swing
For a bit of a southern charm and hospitality, take a swing down to New Orleans before heading over to Mooresville. This route takes you down I-45, through Houston and over to Louisiana. Spend a night or two in New Orleans and enjoy the music, food, and culture before heading up through Atlanta for an overnight stop before hitting Mooresville. This route is about 1,575 miles and takes roughly 24 hours of driving time.
The Coastal Crawl
For a seaside adventure, take the coastal crawl up through the Carolinas. This route takes you up I-45 through Houston before cutting over to the coast through Pensacola, Florida. Enjoy the Atlantic coast and take a break in some great cities like Charleston, Myrtle Beach, and Wilmington before heading to Mooresville. This route is about 1,550 miles long and takes roughly 24 hours of driving time.
No matter which route you choose, there are plenty of great stops along the way. Be sure to schedule some time in Branson, MO and check out one of their famous country music shows. Or, take a break in Nashville and visit the Country Music Hall of Fame before continuing on to your destination. Whatever you decide, be sure to take breaks frequently and enjoy the journey!
