Route 3: A38 and M4

This route takes you south on the A38 towards Gloucester before taking the M4 towards Swindon. Although only slightly longer than Route 1, and with a distance of approximately 66 miles, the travel time varies from 1 hour and 40 minutes to 2 hours, depending on traffic and time of day. This route offers a mix of scenic views of the Severn Estuary and the countryside, and should certainly not be missed.

Route 4: A433 and A429

This route is ideal for those looking to make a day of their trip. The route itself offers breath-taking views of the Cotswolds, National Trust's Dyrham Park, and a chance to drive through Tetbury, famous for its antique shops. This route is around 70 miles long and takes 2 hours, but should you wish to stop and explore along the way, then we recommend taking your time.

Whatever your route preference, we highly recommend stopping along the way to take in the stunning scenery. Particularly if you opt for Routes 2 or 4, make sure to take the time to appreciate the Cotswolds and check out the National Trust's Dyrham Park.
