Route 3: Hwy 52 S

Another scenic option is to take Hwy 52 S all the way from Bloomington to Eau Claire. This route will take you through the Driftless Area of southeastern Minnesota, an area of scenic bluffs and valleys left untouched by glaciers.

Recommendations: Take a detour to Lanesboro, Minnesota, a charming small town known for its arts scene and bike trails. Check out the Root River Trail, a paved bike trail that takes you through farms and small towns.
