Route 3: The Foodie Route

If you love trying out new restaurants and exploring local cuisine, this is the route for you. Start by taking I-80 East from Buffalo until you get to Des Moines. From there, take I-35 North through Ames and then follow I-35 E all the way to Saint Paul. This route is just under 6 hours and is over 365 miles.

Along the way, there are plenty of fabulous restaurants to choose from. In Des Moines, make sure to stop by the Iowa Taproom for some locally brewed beer and delicious bar food.
