The Scenic Route

Head south on I-89 towards Concord, New Hampshire, then take I-91 south towards Brattleboro, Vermont. From there, take Route 9 west towards Keene, New Hampshire and finally take Route 202 towards I-91. Take I-91 south to I-84 west towards Scranton, Pennsylvania. From there, take I-81 south towards Bristol, Tennessee and finally I-40 west towards Knoxville, Tennessee. From Knoxville, take I-75 north towards Lexington, Kentucky, then take I-64 west towards Louisville. Finally, take I-65 south towards Indianapolis.

This route covers a distance of approximately 1,100 miles and takes around 19 hours of driving time. Along the way, you can stop in Keene to hike Mount Monadnock or visit the Keene Pumpkin Festival. In Tennessee, make sure to visit Dollywood in Pigeon Forge or take a scenic drive through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
