A great place to stretch your legs and take a break would be at the USS Battleship Alabama Memorial Park in Mobile.

Route #3: The Coastal Route

Distance: 1,011 miles

For those who love the ocean, taking the coastal route is the perfect choice. The trip will take you through New Orleans, Mobile, and all the way up to Norfolk, Virginia. You will drive over 1,000 miles, and the journey should take approximately 16 hours. On your way, you can visit some of the best beaches on the east coast, including Gulf Shores, Panama City and Virginia Beach.

Route #4: The Smoky Mountain Route

Distance: 981 miles

The final route takes you through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. For nature lovers, this is your dream destination. The trip is about 1,000 miles long, but will only take about 14 hours to drive. We recommend stopping in Knoxville, Tennessee, to explore the music scene and historical sites.
